Oktoberfest in St. Tammany: Party Like It’s 1810

Oktoberfest in St. Tammany: Party Like It’s 1810

If you read up on the origins of Oktoberfest, you’re likely to find two different stories. One credits the Munich celebration of the October 12, 1810 marriage of Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig to the Saxon-Hildburghausen Princess Therese. The other simply says… in the old days, October was when it was finally cool enough to brew lagers. Hooray! Let’s celebrate.

The best place to celebrate Oktoberfest is at a brew pub with plenty of good options on tap. Here are a few really cool establishments in West St. Tammany Parish that can offer just that.
